When I try to upload a room's image most of the time the upload doesn't work (it keeps loading forever). It only works if I make the image extremly small (125x125 51.7kb or in other images even much less). This doesn't happen uploading the palace image, even when the image is the same.
So I am unable to use the software due to not being able to use images with enough quality for rooms.
I'd appreciate that this improves or that I get some tip to bypass the problem.
Memorypalace.com keeps moving my rooms to the wrong place and I have no idea why. I'll spend about 30 minutes carefully rearranging all 60 of the rooms in my memory palace, but whenever I rename, delete, or upload an image for a room, it moves them back to the wrong place, creates duplicate rooms, deletes images for certain rooms and deletes the wrong rooms, all at the same time, effectively making all my hard work not worth it at all. It always seems to be the same ones it does the same things to. Additionally, at the bottom there are 15 plus signs that I want to get rid of. Help!
I am new here and just look at my memory palace feels and looks wrong and going to delete it. I really right now eed two categories which are law and computer programing.
I want you to know when I go to the home page I only see popular or newest there, unlike the tutorial that shows more.
So how do I get to see all the categories or at lease the ones I need? In the mean time i have to use mind mapping software I do not want to use.
I really need some help.
Are you going to do more tutorials all about your site.
I've not heard anyone selling a memory palace before. I do like the idea of buying and selling a memory palace because it would save a huge amount of time for the learner, however, not sure if this is something people would pay for.
The only way to find out I guess is to create one for sale and see what happens.
I am wondering how the idea was developed to buy and sell Memory palaces?
Any success so far?
has it been worth the effort?
Here’s a video tutorial showing you how to build a memory palace using our platform:
My top speed right now is like 30 seconds per item, including picking the mnemonic and setting up the images in the palace. I'm curious how fast others can build? Please let me know in the comments. Thanks!
Step 1. Register an account (need to provide an email address or facebook account).
Step 2. Have a palace ready for publication.
Step 3. Register a publisher account:
i. In the ACCOUNT tab on the top MENU, there is a section on the left margin that reads "Publisher Account". It has a big blue button that says REGISTER, click on that button. This will take you to a new page where you need to:
ii. Agree to the Publisher Terms and Conditions
iii. Link an existing Stripe account or register a new Stripe account (Stripe is a third party company that handles all payment processing -- Memory Palace does not store any financial information.)
Step 4. Now on your ACCOUNT page, you should have a link in the Publisher Account section that reads "Connected". Click on that link. This will take you to the page that you will use to manage all your publications.
Step 5. Publish your palace.
i. Click on the link under "Published Palaces" that reads "New Publication".
ii. Name your new publication and click "Create publication".
iii. On the left margin of this new page that you will use to manage your new publication, click the "Edit" button.
iv. Fill in all the required fields as you want your palace to appear on the Marketplace:
--Logo & Previews: Select the images that best represent your palace. Note that you can "Upload" new images or "Import" images directly from your palace by choosing "Import" and then selecting your palace. You can even select images from specific rooms in your palace and reveal or hide its items, path, keywords, and references by clicking on the four buttons that appear on top of the image before you import it.
--Name: Change the name of your palace if you want.
--Price: Select the sale price for your palace. If you click on the magic wand, it will recommend a price based on how many items are in the palace at a rate of $0.10 per item. On the left margin you can see a breakdown of how your price will be divided among Stripe, Memory Palace, and yourself.
--Palace to publish: Select the palace you want to publish from your list of palaces.
--Category: Select an appropriate category for your palace to appear.
--Short description: Fill in a short description for your palace. Note that you can click on the magic wand to provide basic stats about your palace. This is the description that first appears in the marketplace before someone clicks on your palace to view the palace's listing page.
--Long description: Fill in a longer description for your palace. This is the description that will appear on your palace's listing page.
v. Click the "Save" button to save.
vi. Optional: Click the "Preview" button to preview your palace's listing page.
vii. Click the green "Submit" button twice to submit your palace for review. This submits the palace for administrator approval.
viii. Once your palace is approved, you will receive an email letting you know and a green "Publish" button will appear in place of the "Submit" button. Press this button and your palace will be live on the marketplace.
Note that you can "Unpublish" your palace at any time by clicking the red "Unpublish" button.
To promote your palace, use the tools on your listing page. You can share your palace via email, facebook, twitter, or with a direct link to your listing page.

Here's a great article from the Harvard Law School Library that explains the differences between Public Domain, Creative Commons, and traditional Copyright. It also contains links to the best collections of public domain images online.
The best option imho, is Bing. You can search for images using Bing then filter for Public Domain images by clicking on "License" in the menu below the search box and selecting Public Domain. Please note that Google images is a bit of a mine field since it does not allow you to filter for Public Domain images specifically. Even when you do an advanced search for "free to use, share, or modify, even commercially" Google includes Creative Commons images that usually have restrictions on them. Please be careful.
When building palaces, you have three options:
1) Public Domain images: the best option! Any palaces you create with these images can be listed on the store for sale.
2) Creative Commons: the second best option depending on the specific license used. Some licenses limit you to only non-commercial uses, so those you wouldn't be able to include in palaces listed on the store. And be very careful, even images that are allowed for commercial purposes often still require attribution. For those, you would need to attribute the image in the description of your palace. You need to be very careful to read the actual license description when using Creative Commons images.
3) Copyrighted images: these you can only use if you own the copyright yourself or acquired a license for it.
Hope that helps!
